The family that took me to the Pow Wow young son shot this wonderful footage (below) of the Hoop Dance with a older camera.

 

 

I’d been wanting to film a Pow Wow since I shot this very special event in 2010, Connecticut on the James (unveiling ceremony). Which can be seen here : http://otway.wordpress.com/2010/11/06/connecticut-on-the-james-unveiling-ceremony/

The photo below is from that event which I entitled “Circle of Life”. My mother passed at the end of that month and my dad nearly a decade before.
