Smith & Hawken® Natural Wood Bird Feeder

DSC_0328 edit 3b

A gift we received that our bird friends really like! and so far no squirrels have attacked and broken. Although this feeder has terrible reviews, apparently it deteriorates fast? I’m going to do my best on keeping it functioning and photographing…..

Cinema is a matter of what’s in the frame and what’s out.
Martin Scorsese

“Each man should frame life so that at some future hour fact and his dreaming meet.”
Victor Hugo

“The most important thing in art is the frame. For painting: literally; for other arts: figuratively – because, without this humble appliance, you can’t know where The Art stops and The Real World begins. You have to put a “box” around it because otherwise, what is that shit on the wall?”
Frank Zappa

An annual gift from a favorite niece.

lights of holiday past

In 2011 Barry, Khalima, Meechie, Arthur and myself, at Barry’s request, photographed some of the tacky light tour with Barry playing Christmas carols on the accordion and Khalima dancing. I hadn’t seen some of the bigger displays so it was quite fun (Thanks Barry!). The high lite were some young girls being fascinated with Khalima and getting a picture taken with her by their mom.

The home above was my favorite and uncertain whether on tour, loved it even in the daylight.

There are dark shadows on the earth, but its lights are stronger in the contrast.

The Science Museum of Virginia fruitcake balloon made its debut in the Dominion Christmas Parade circa 2012. On a personal level it has me buying and enjoying a fruitcake and think it’s really cool the City has it’s own balloon. I have known some of the Crafty fellow’s over at the SMOV. Well Done!
