Musa basjoo bud

Almost a year later I found this bud while transplanting one of my prize Basjoo banana trees. My photo from last summer below.

I’ve pretty much quit taking photographs. The rest will be lucky bonus….

wood & steel and groundhogs

I returned to our old home one last time that is destined for demolition. The old steel chair frame was still in the yard which I’ll combine with this very old wood. Transplanting banana trees is early spring which I’m hoping I’ll be able to get one, moving a refrigerator is easier. We are very grateful but miss the old home. I was surrounded by chickadee’s we fed daily when I picked up this chair and was heart sick.

In staying with being old school I got a KINDLE for birthday but was still curious how my photographs would look like.

To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with spring. ~George Santayana

The groundhog is like most other prophets; it delivers its prediction and then disappears. ~Bill Vaughn

Beautiful photograph by Arthur Stephens, who I helped transport the gourds, etc. Would love to have a print to frame.

There are some idea’s I’d like to photograph this year but my eye site is struggling and more comfortable off the grid.

This evening I heard “Symphonic Blues Suite” by Yusef Lateef on NPR and remembered photographing him in the mid seventies.

My scanner that did negatives being obsolete I had to tape these negatives to the window shoot them with a hand held camera and invert them.
